Welcome back guys!
Sorry I’ve been very busy these past few days but I wanted to share to you what I have done yesterday to make my eyebrows more defined.
I went to Permanent Makeup Manila by Pauline Ylaya and had Hyperreal 6D eyebrow embroidery which is something that is very known today!
I have always wanted to have a nice and defined eyebrows because I used to have spares brows and I look really weird without doing my brows. I need to draw and fill in the gaps so that I have more confidence in facing the world. Like what I have said, kilay is life!
So after a week of contemplating, I have finally decided to try their lash lift with semi permanent mascara which I have blogged several days ago.
I love how it turned out and since Pauline’s assistant Vicky is very nice she informed me that someone has cancelled and I can be accommodated June 2nd.
I secured my payment to keep my appointment via paypal.
I have also tried to read several blogs first prior to my appointment to set any expectations and the procedure itself.
As per my preparation, I made sure that my skin is well hydrated and clean because after the procedure, I need to wait for 3-5 days before I can wash the area. I also took long bath that day as I know it would be difficult to wash my hair because I would need to be extra careful not to wet any area near my brows.
Come June 2nd, I woke up early for my appointment with Ms. Pauline since she personally do these procedures and mentioned from other blogs that she only does three procedures per day.
Before leaving my place, I made sure to take a photo of myself first as the tattoo will stay for at least a year. I wanted to see a before and after photo of course:
I was scheduled at 3pm but I arrived 15 minutes late. I had to take grab to go there but my driver is unfamilair of the place and did not follow waze. So we got lost in Sucat and had to ask around where is the west service road. So my advice to anyone going there, check their map first and make sure you show the map to your driver prior to going to the area.
When I arrived in their clinic, there is still one customer inside and Pauline is still doing her brows. Vicky – her assistant asked me to fill out several pages of terms and conditions as well as personal data. While I fill out these documents, Vicky told me that she will already apply the numbing cream while I wait for my turn. This will help for me not to feel anything or at least just a little pain when we start with the procedure.
It took around an hour before the first customer left the clinic. Ms. Pauline introduced herself but told me to wait a little more while we wait for the numbing cream to take effect. I think that is the purpose why they suggest their clients to come early so that while you wait, they can already apply the numbing cream.
After an hour, Pauline went back to me and asked me to sign a waiver stating that the color might fade faster due to the medicine I had to take for my thyroid. I was expecting her to briefly explain the procedure but she just asked me to lie down so we can start. I left my bag on one of the tables and asked her how painful will it be so I am ready. She asked my tolerance level to pain and honestly I told her that it is pretty low. She mentioned that it might feel like as if you someone is threading your eyebrows.
Pauline took a photo of my eyebrows prior to the procedure then she started measuring my brows and asked me to face the mirror so she could assess better.
She provided me two options on how I wanted my brows to look like. On the left side, she drew a more straight full brows based from the natural shape of my brows. It is easier to maintain since we just have to follow my brows and just filling any parts with no hair or defining the edges. On my right, she showed a shape with a higher arch which she thinks is more appropriate to my face shape. She noted that the one with higher arc will help emphasize my cheekbone better and will make my face slimmer compared to the straighter brows which makes my face round.
Although the one with arch will be more difficult to maintain since I needed to pluck any hair around the area, I am still happy to look slimmer with my new brows and it would be easier for me to change brows shape since I would just need to fill in the arch to go to a straighter and fuller brows.
After deciding, microblading is next!
Pauline asked me if I feel anything and I honestly said no. Although I am hearing a buzzing sound, it felt nothing in most parts. Actually plucking or threading your brows is more painful that having this. I am really surprised. Although, I can feel that she is cutting my skin multiple times it did not hurt much. Then she applied another numbing cream mixed with the hair dye. We had to wait for 5 minutes at least.
Then she wiped off the hair dye with numbing cream then it felt sore! But who am I to compalin? I am seeing pretty brows in the making already. We had three rounds for this as she is very meticulous to ensure that you will leave happy and contented!
After three rounds, here is the finished product! This is right after the procedure:
I am so happy with the result!
Pauline mentioned that it may look darker on the night of the procedure and will even go darker on the next days. Then will go lighter around 50% but I just need to wait til 1 month to finally see the final result of my hyperreal 6D eyebrow embroidery!
These are photos
taken an hour after the procedure:
Vicky handed me an after kit care and receipt:
She told me to apply the ointment thrice a day from my third to seventh day.
After a day, so far my brows are indeed darker and shinier! I can see the cuts starting to heal though. It looks kinda weird but will see what it looks like after a week.
I will update again after a week! I hope to get best result!
